Pre-K:
At Pre-K Classroom doors within the playground playset on Downing St.
Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd:
Auditorium, through playground on Downing St
3rd-5th grade:
Irving Place near the Auditorium entrance
*Parents with siblings can speak with teachers to arrange one drop off and pick up location.
Late Pickup
Students whose parents are late for pickup after dismissal remain in the dismissal areas until approximately 2:50pm and are then brought to the security desk at the main entrance on Gates Ave.
Breakfast and lunch are provided to all students daily. Families can also bring lunch from home if desired.
Pre-K lunch period:
11:05am - 11:55am
Kindergarten and 1st grade lunch period
10:10am - 11:00am
2nd - 5th grades lunch period:
11:05am - 11:55am
When viewing the menus, please note PS 56 serves the Pre-K- 8 Express Hot Lunch. For more information, visit the School Meals page on the DOE website. There you can download the School Food app, read the Food Allergy Policy, and find the nutritional value of each meal item.
