After School Programs
PS 56 offers a mix of onsite after school programming, led by staff and local organizations within the building, and partners with a number of programs who pick-up from the school and provide offsite programming at a range of locations. All options are listed below.

Fall 2026 Session: 9/10 - 12/23
The PS 56 PTA partners with Lola & Kids to provide the daily oversight of our expanded onsite after-school program that mixes enrichment activities with open play. It runs in 3 sessions: Fall, Winter, Spring. Choose from a variety of programs, including art, chess, photography, soccer, theater, and more. Class offerings vary by day and grade. ICN Chess will be held onsite at PS 56, but operated independently from the Lola & Kids program. Pick-up is at 5pm, with late pick-up available.
