Our Team

Mr. Grande has been principal of PS 56 since May 2016.  Prior to arriving at PS 56, he was an assistant principal in District 7, Bronx for 5 years. In the classroom, he was a 5th grade general education and middle school technology teacher. His focus is on the fostering of authentic teaching and learning, the infusion of arts and music, wellness initiatives throughout the school, and other efforts, which results in an enriching educational experience for all children.

He enjoys his free time with his family, playing guitar, and listening to talk radio.

Ms. Donnelley began her career as a teacher in 2001, and she taught in elementary and middle schools in the Bronx for most of her career. In 2006, she became the Dean of the all-girls school, Women's Academy of Excellence. Ms. Donnelley joined PS 56 as a 4th grade teacher in 2017, and subsequently taught a bridge 3rd-5th grade G&T class. In 2023, she started in her current role as Dean of Students. As Dean, Ms. Donnelley provides social emotional and academic support to students. She oversees and organizes school programs and initiatives like student council, conflict resolution, and project pivot. 

Marvin Williams has been Parent Coordinator of P.S. 56 since September 2002.  Prior to that, he was Family Assistant for students in temporary housing in Brooklyn's District 16 for two years and he served as Family Assistant at P.S. 56. Marvin has always felt a passion to assist the school community and help families navigate through life obstacles bringing about a good outcome.

Mr. Williams enjoys reading, history, listening to jazz & classical music, drawing, and time with family. Marvin is also a well-rounded musician, playing several instruments like the piano, drums, electric bass guitar, saxophone, and more.
